Announcement – We are now accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)!
On Monday, June 6th, 2011, we successfully passed the formidable American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) inspection! Accreditation requires compliance in over 900 standards. Only about 15% of animal hospitals or clinics in the US and Canada have met these criteria or chosen to commit themselves to this level of excellence. We are currently the only AAHA accredited hospital on the northern Outer Banks of North Carolina. Being AAHA-accredited means we adhere to the highest standards in surgery, anesthesia, medical care, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, patient care, record-keeping, pharmacy, and housekeeping, to name a few.
