Dr. Jay Taylor, our pet doctor, has been proud to call the Outer Banks his home for almost 7 years. Seen in the picture below with his 14 month old daughter watching, he is enjoying every second in the water. Originally from a small town in rural southeast Missouri, he migrated east in search of a wonderful small community that happened to have some of the best surf around. After graduating from veterinary school, he loaded all of his belongings in a U-haul and headed to Kitty Hawk. Dr. Taylor practiced veterinary medicine on the beach for 3 years, then made a transition and commuted to practice emergency veterinary medicine in Virginia. When he married his lovely wife Jessica, they started to plan on starting a family. To stay close to home, he opened the Outer Banks Veterinary Hospital in August 2010. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Taylor enjoys surfing, sailing, and just about anything else that gets him into the water. He currently resides in Kill Devil Hills with his wife, Jessica. They just had a new baby girl, Emma Sylvia Taylor on New Year’s Day!!! See some pictures below.
Kayleigh Graves is a true Outer Banks native who grew up in Wanchese. After graduating from Manteo High School, she moved to the mountains of North Carolina for a few years but could not stand to be away from our lovely beaches and warmer climate. Her husband, John Graves, is also a local who is the director of the S.P.C.A. Animal Shelter in Elizabeth City. She is the proud mom of several four-legged children: Taganov, Ava, Lucy, Murphy, Ruckus, Boo, Dudley, Eleanor, and Pete.
Stacey Falciano joined the Outer Banks Vet Hospital May of 2011 to continue to follow my passion for helping animals. She has been working in the animal care industry for twelve years now and enjoy being able to help people and their companions receive quality healthcare. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the beach or on the boat with my husband and eleven year old daughter. She also enjoys spending her down time walking on the beach with Britches, her goofy boxer, and her loyal sidekick Dora, the Chihuahua (who has her own fan club).
